Subtropical Storm Nicole

Public Safety is monitoring the current models and projections for Subtropical Storm Nicole. At this time, the storm is forecast to make landfall on the Atlantic coast of Florida in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 10 as a weak category 1 hurricane (≤ 74 mph winds). Forecasters expect the storm to continue a slight northern path through Florida before taking a sharp turn East, reaching South Carolina as a tropical storm between Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12. Currently, we anticipate rain showers and minor wind gusts (< 20 mph) that will not disrupt our normal operations.
